Sport Pilot Requirements
Sport Pilot Is a quick and easy license to obtain for the weekend flyer. Unlike a Private Pilot, Sport Pilots are limited to flying with only one passenger in VFR weather conditions. They are limited to flying single engine light sport aircraft only. One of the benefits to Sport Pilot is that it can be done with a minimum of 20hrs flight time! Training can be completed in two weeks or less!
Private Pilot Checklist
Private Pilot is typically the first license to be completed by a new pilot. This license allows a pilot to fly any single engine aircraft under 12,500lbs anywhere in the world in VFR weather conditions! This is perfect for someone that wants to take the family flying on the weekends and can be completed in a month.
Instrument Pilot Checklist
The Instrument rating allows a pilot to fly in the clouds, rain, or fog strictly by reference to the aircraft's instrumentation. This rating must be completed in order to fly in less than perfect weather and is strongly recommended. Training time typically can be completed in a month.
Commercial Pilot Checklist
The Commercial license is your way to get paid for the work you do as a pilot. This license covers a wide range of pilot services. It can be used for anything from crop-dusting to becoming an airline pilot.
CFI / CFII / MEI
(Certified Flight Instructor | Instrument Instructor | Mult-Engine Instructor)
These ratings are needed in order to teach someone how to fly. They involve a lot of ground school and are all proficiency based meaning there are no flight time requirements that exist. When you're ready you're ready!
Multi Engine
The multi engine rating is for someone that wants to fly an aircraft with two or more engines. This is a proficiency rating that is normally completed in 5-10hrs of flight time.
Tailwheel
The tailwheel endorsement is for the pilot that wants to learn how to fly a tailwheel airplane. This is typically completed in 5-10 hours of flight time. Be prepared to learn how to use your feet!
